Portugal's foreign trade deficit decreased in April from a year ago, as exports grew faster than imports, figures from Statistics Portugal showed Friday.
The trade deficit dropped to EUR 1.25 billion in April from EUR 1.29 billion in the corresponding month last year.
In March, the shortfall was EUR 1.23 billion.
In nominal terms, exports surged 18.1 percent year-over-year in April and imports advanced by 13.1 percent.
