Producer prices in Japan were up 1.0 percent on year in May, the Bank of Japan said on Tuesday.
That was in line with expectations and unchanged from the April reading following an upward revision from 0.9 percent.
On a monthly basis, producer prices eased 0.1 percent after gaining 0.2 percent in April.
Among the components of the survey, process were up for communications and leasing and down for advertising, transportation and postal activities.
