At 4.30 am ET Friday, U.K. mortgage approvals for May and GDP data for first quarter have been released.
After the data, the pound climbed against its major rivals.
The pound was worth 145.48 against the yen, 1.3084 against the franc, 0.8843 against the euro and 1.3144 against the greenback around 4:31 am ET.
