The manufacturing sector in Malaysia continued to contract in June, albeit at a slower rate, the latest survey from Nikkei revealed on Monday with a manufacturing PMI score of 49.5.
That's up from 47.6 in May, although it remains beneath the boom-or-bust line of 50 that separates expansion of contraction.
Individually, the June reading marked the slowest drop in output and new orders since March.
Cost pressures eased to the weakest level since March 2015.
