The service sector in Australia continued to expand in June, and at an accelerated rate, the latest survey from the Australian Industry Group revealed on Wednesday with a record high Performance of Service Index score of 63.0.

That's up from 59.0 in May, and it moves further above the boom-or-bust line of 50 that separates expansion from contraction.

All of the sub-indexes expanded, including sales, new orders, employment, stocks, supplier deliveries, input prices, selling prices, wages and capacity utilization.

The service index has expanded now in 16 straight months.
