At 8:30 am ET Thursday, U.S. weekly jobless claims for the week ended July 14 have been released. After the data, the greenback climbed further against its major counterparts.
The greenback was trading at 1.1576 against the euro, 113.15 against the yen, 1.0041 against the franc and 1.2963 against the pound around 8:32 am ET.
