The total number of building permits in New Zealand issued in June was down a seasonally adjusted 7.6 percent on month in June, Statistics New Zealand said on Tuesday.
That follows the downwardly revised 6.9 percent jump in May (originally 7.1 percent).
In the year ended June 2018, the actual number of new dwellings consented was 32,860, up 7.9 percent.
The annual value of non-residential building work consented was NZ$6.9 billion, up 10 percent from the previous year.
