The manufacturing sector in Indonesia continued to expand in July, and at a faster rate, the latest survey from Nikkei revealed on Wednesday with a PMI score of 50.5.
That's up from 50.3 in June, and it moves farther above the boom-or-bust line of 50 that separates expansion from contraction.
Individually, manufacturing output contracted for the first time in six months. New orders were up marginally as export sales fell again.
Business sentiment remained close to June's 68-month low.
