The manufacturing sector in Myanmar swung to contraction in July, the latest survey from Nikkei revealed on Wednesday with a PMI score of 47.9.
That's down from 50.0 in June, sliding beneath the boom-or-bust line of 50 that separates expansion from contraction.
Individually, the index indicated moderate deterioration in manufacturing operating conditions.
Output levels fell for the first time in 10 months, while input prices rose at their fastest pace since January 2017.
