South Korea's exports and imports grew at a slower-than-expected pace in July, data released by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy showed Wednesday.
Exports climbed 6.2 percent year-over-year in July, below the 7.4 percent rise economists had forecast.
Imports registered a double-digit growth of 16.2 percent in July from a year ago, but slower than the expected spike of 17.0 percent.
The trade surplus came in at $7.01 billion in July versus the expected surplus of $6.8 billion.
