At 5.00 am ET Thursday, Eurostat releases euro area producer prices for June. Producer price inflation is expected to rise to 3.5 percent from 3 percent in May.
Ahead of the data, the euro fell against its major rivals.
The euro was worth 0.8881 against the pound, 1.1556 against the franc, 129.71 against the yen and 1.1624 against the greenback at 4:55 am ET.
