Statistics Canada has published Canada building permits for July at 8:30 am ET Thursday. The loonie changed little against its major opponents after the data.
The loonie was trading at 84.38 against the yen, 1.5346 against the euro, 0.9491 against the aussie and 1.3174 against the greenback around 8:35 am ET.
