Slovakia's industrial production continued to grow at a slower pace in July, the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic showed Tuesday.

Industrial output climbed 2 percent annually but slower than the 2.2 percent increase seen in June. Nonetheless, this was the fourth consecutive increase in production.

Mining and quarrying contracted 4.5 percent and output of electricity and other utilities declined 7.8 percent. Meanwhile, manufacturing output grew 3.6 percent.

Month-on-month, industrial production dropped 0.9 percent in July.

Another report from the statistical office showed that construction output growth accelerated to 9.6 percent in July from 4.5 percent in June. On a monthly basis, construction output gained 3.9 percent.
