Dutch economic growth accelerated more than initially estimated in the three months ended June, final data from the Central Bureau of Statistics showed Friday.

Gross domestic product expanded 0.8 percent sequentially, instead of 0.7 percent estimated previously. This was also faster than the 0.6 percent growth logged a quarter ago.

The improvement was largely driven by foreign trade, investment and household consumption.

On a yearly basis, GDP growth accelerated to revised 3.1 percent from 2.8 percent in the first quarter. Initially, the statistical office had estimated 2.9 percent expansion for the second quarter.
