Japan's supermarket sales rose at a marginal pace in August, data from the Chain Store Association showed Tuesday
Supermarket sales, after store adjustment, grew only 0.1 percent year-on-year in August, following a 1.5 percent rise in July. Before store adjustment, sales increased 0.8 percent.
On a monthly basis, supermarket sales dropped 3.9 percent in August.
