The Federal Housing Finance Agency and S&P Corelogic Case-Shiller will release U.S. home price indices for July at 9:00 am ET Tuesday.
Ahead of these data, the greenback traded mixed against its major rivals. While the greenback held steady against the euro, the pound and the franc, it retreated against the yen.
The greenback was worth 112.82 against the yen, 0.9659 against the franc, 1.1774 against the euro and 1.3151 against the pound as of 8:55 am ET.
