The Japanese yen advanced against its major counterparts in pre-European trading on Wednesday.
The yen rose to 112.75 against the greenback, from more than a 2-month low of 113.03 seen at 8:00 pm ET.
The yen climbed to 132.62 against the euro, 116.86 against the franc and 148.47 against the pound, off its early lows of 132.97, 117.12 and 148.94, respectively.
Reversing from an early low of 87.24 against the loonie, the yen edged up to 87.03.
The Japanese currency bounced off to 81.88 against the aussie and 75.12 against the kiwi, from its early 5-day lows of 82.24 and 75.53, respectively.
If the yen rises further, it may find resistance around 110.00 against the greenback, 131.00 against the euro, 115.00 against the franc, 147.00 against the pound, 86.00 against the loonie, 80.00 against the aussie and 73.00 against the kiwi.
