The manufacturing sector in the Philippines continued to expand in September, and at a slightly faster rate, the latest survey from Nikkei revealed on Monday with a manufacturing PMI score of 52.0.

That's up from 51.9 in August, and it moves further above the boom-or-bust line of 50 that separates expansion from contraction.

Individually, new order growth continued to be solid, despite a decline in exports.

Supply chains fell under pressure, partly due to typhoon-related disruption, while inflationary pressures remained marked.
