Slovakia's retail sales grew at a slower pace in August, preliminary data from the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic showed Wednesday.
Retail sales, excluding motor vehicles and motorcycles, grew 3 percent year-on-year following a 4.3 percent increase in July. In June, sales rose 1.1 percent in June.
Among sub-groups, sales of other goods in specialized stores jumped 13.3 percent and sales of automotive fuels at these stores grew 9.2 percent.
Sales outside stores, stalls and markets rose 12.8 percent.
Compared to the previous month, retail sales grew 0.4 percent.
