At 8:30 am ET Friday, Canada jobs data for September and trade data for August are set for release.
Ahead of these data, the loonie traded mixed against its major counterparts. While the loonie rose against the yen and the greenback, it fell against the aussie. Against the euro, it held steady.
The loonie was worth 88.17 against the yen, 0.9134 against the aussie, 1.4859 against the euro and 1.2915 against the greenback as of 8:25 am ET.
