Following the release of Canada jobs data for September and trade data for August at 8:30 am ET Friday, the loonie rose against its major counterparts.
The loonie was trading at 88.26 against the yen, 0.9134 against the aussie, 1.4867 against the euro and 1.2919 against the greenback around 8:33 am ET.
