Greece's unemployment rate dropped for a fifth month in a row in July, preliminary data from the Hellenic Statistical Authority showed on Thursday.
The seasonally adjusted jobless rate eased to 19 percent from 19.1 percent in June. The rate has been easing steadily since March. A year ago, the unemployment rate was 20.9 percent.
The number of unemployed was 897,861 in July, down 10.4 percent from a year ago. From June, the figure dropped by 13,232 persons or by 1.5 percent.
Employment grew by 1.2 percent year-on-year to 3.84 million and decreased by 32,616 persons from the previous month.
