At 4.30 am ET Wednesday, the Office for National Statistics is scheduled to issue consumer and producer prices for September. UK inflation is expected to ease slightly to 2.6 percent from 2.7 percent in August.
Ahead of these data, the pound dropped against its major counterparts.
The pound was worth 1.3039 against the franc, 0.8795 against the euro, 147.61 against the yen and 1.3152 against the greenback as of 4:25 am ET.
