At 5.00 am ET Wednesday, Eurostat publishes euro area final consumer prices and construction output figures. According to preliminary estimate, inflation rose to 2.1 percent in September from 2 percent in August.
Before the data, the euro traded mixed against its major counterparts. While the euro held steady against the yen, it rose against the rest of major rivals.
The euro was worth 1.1459 against the franc, 0.8799 against the pound, 129.79 against the yen and 1.1566 against the greenback as of 4:55 am ET.
