Retail sales from the UK are due on Thursday, headlining a light day for the European economic news.

At 2.00 am ET, Destatis releases Germany's wholesale prices for September. Prices had increased 0.3 percent on month in August.

At 3.30 am ET, Sweden's unemployment data is due. Economists forecast the jobless rate to drop to 6.5 percent in September from 6.6 percent in August.

At 4.30 am ET, the Office for National Statistics is set to issue UK retail sales data for September. Sales including auto fuel are forecast drop 0.4 percent on month after rising 0.3 percent in August.

At 6.00 am ET, Portugal's producer price data for September is due.
