Germany's wholesale prices rose at a slower pace in September, data from Destatis revealed Thursday.

Wholesale price inflation slowed to 3.5 percent from 3.8 percent in August.

The wholesale price growth in September was largely influenced by a 19.4 percent surge in solid fuels and petroleum products prices. Chemical product prices advanced 7.1 percent. Meanwhile, prices for waste and residues fell 12.4 percent.

Month-on-month, wholesale prices rose 0.4 percent after gaining 0.3 percent in August. This was the fastest growth in three months.
