At 3.00 am ET Wednesday, Destatis has issued Germany's retail sales for September. Following the data, the euro fell slightly against its major counterparts.
The euro was trading at 1.1340 against the greenback, 128.34 against the yen, 1.1400 against the franc and 0.8921 against the pound around 3:03 am ET.
