Following the release of U.K. CIPS/Markit construction PMI at 5.30 am ET Friday, the pound rose slightly against its major counterparts.
The pound was trading at 1.3039 against the greenback, 147.06 against the yen, 1.3029 against the franc and 0.8772 against the euro around 5:33 am ET.
