IHS Markit is set to publish Eurozone manufacturing PMI for December at 4:00 am ET Friday.
Ahead of the data, the euro was lower against its major rivals.
The euro was worth 1.1303 against the greenback, 128.33 against the yen, 1.1255 against the franc and 0.8988 against the pound at 3:55 am ET.
