At 8:15 am ET Friday, Canada mortgage and housing Corp. is set to release Canada housing starts for January.
Ahead of the data, the loonie traded mixed against its major rivals. While the loonie rose against the greenback, it held steady against the yen, the aussie and the euro.
The loonie was worth 82.52 against the yen, 0.9433 against the aussie, 1.3303 against the greenback and 1.5096 against the euro as of 8:10 am ET.
