At 8:30 am ET Wednesday, Canada consumer price index for January is due. Ahead of the data, the loonie traded mixed against its major counterparts. While the loonie rose against the euro and the aussie, it held steady against the greenback and the yen.
The loonie was worth 1.3145 against the greenback, 1.4963 against the euro, 0.9402 against the aussie and 84.16 against the yen as of 8:25 am ET.
