The U.K. retail sales and public sector finance data for February are due at 5:30 am ET Thursday. The pound fell against its major opponents before these data.
The pound was worth 145.36 against the yen, 0.8661 against the euro, 1.3069 against the franc and 1.3165 against the greenback at 5:25 am ET.
