At 8:30 am ET Wednesday, Statistics Canada will release Canada trade data for January. Ahead of the data, the loonie dropped against its major counterparts.
The loonie was worth 82.30 against the yen, 1.5128 against the euro, 0.9510 against the aussie and 1.3418 against the greenback as of 8:25 am ET.
