South Africa's producer price inflation rose in February after easing in the previous month, figures from Statistics South Africa showed Thursday.
The producer price index rose 4.7 percent year-on-year in February, following a 4.1 percent rise in January. In December, the price growth was 5.2 percent.
The biggest contribution was made by coke, petroleum, chemical, rubber and plastic products, by 4.7 percent.
Among sectors, mining prices grew the most by 10.6 percent annually, while prices for agriculture, forestry and fishing fell by 2.2 percent.
On a monthly basis, producer prices fell 0.3 percent in February.
