The U.S. new home sales for March are scheduled for release at 9:00 am ET Tuesday. Ahead of the data, the greenback advanced against its major counterparts.
The greenback was worth 111.97 against the yen, 1.1211 against the euro, 1.2953 against the pound and 1.0221 against the franc as of 9:55 am ET.
