Slovakia's consumer price inflation slowed in April after rising in the previous month, figures from the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic showed on Wednesday.
The consumer price index climbed 2.3 percent year-on-year in April, after a 2.7 percent rise in March. In February, inflation was 2.3 percent.
Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels prices grew 4.1 percent annually in April. Prices of restaurants and hotels and those of health rose 3.6 percent and 2.4 percent, respectively.
Core inflation slowed to 1.9 percent in April from 2.4 percent in March.
On a month-on-month basis, consumer prices rose 0.2 percent in April, slower than 0.6 percent in the previous month.
