Following the release of Canada GDP data for March at 8:30 am ET Friday, the loonie inched up against its major counterparts.
The loonie was trading at 1.3539 against the greenback, 80.42 against the yen, 0.9353 against the aussie and 1.5090 against the euro around 8:33 am ET.
