The U.S. housing starts and building permits for May are due at 8:30 am ET Tuesday. Before these data, the greenback traded mixed against its major opponents. While the greenback rose against the pound, it held steady against the rest of major opponents.
The greenback was worth 108.26 against the yen, 0.9991 against the franc, 1.2510 against the pound and 1.1186 against the euro as of 8:25 am ET.
