Hong Kong's unemployment rate remained stable during the March to May period, data from the Census and Statistics Department showed on Wednesday.
The jobless rate remained steady at 2.8 percent during the March to April period, same as in the previous three-month period.
The number of unemployed persons rose by 1,800 to 114,100 in the March to May period.
"When compared to the preceding three-month period, movements in sectoral unemployment rates varied but were generally small in magnitude," Law Chi-kwong, secretary for labor and welfare, said.
"The labor market is expected to remain largely stable in the near term."
