After the release of UK retail sales for June at 4.30 am ET Thursday, the pound rose further against its major rivals.
The pound was trading at 134.46 against the yen, 1.2298 against the franc, 0.9005 against the euro and 1.2480 against the greenback around 4:33 am ET.
