Following the release of U.S. GDP data for the second quarter at 8:30 am ET Friday, the greenback climbed against its major rivals.
The greenback was trading at 108.79 against the yen, 0.9931 against the franc, 1.2418 against the pound and 1.1134 against the euro around 8:32 am ET.
