At 4.30 am ET Wednesday, IHS Markit releases UK services PMI data for August. The index is seen falling to 51.0 from 51.4 in July.
Ahead of the data, the pound climbed against its major opponents.
The pound was worth 1.2153 against the greenback, 129.09 against the yen, 1.2004 against the franc and 0.9041 against the euro as of 4:25 am ET.
