Statistics Canada will release Canada jobs data for August at 8:30 am ET Friday. Ahead of the data, the loonie traded mixed against its major counterparts. While the loonie held steady against the greenback and the euro, it fell against the yen and the aussie.
The loonie was worth 80.92 against the yen, 0.9034 against the aussie, 1.3224 against the greenback and 1.4587 against the euro as of 8:25 am ET.
