Poland's average gross wages increased in August as expected, data from Statistics Poland showed on Wednesday.
Average gross wages and salaries grew 6.8 percent year-on-year in August, in line with expectations. On a monthly basis, average gross wages dropped 1.1 percent.
At the same time, average paid employment climbed 2.6 percent on a yearly basis but dropped 0.1 percent on month.
During January to August period, average gross wages and salaries rose 6.8 percent. Average paid employment logged 2.8 percent increase.
