The U.S. housing starts and building permits for August are scheduled for release at 8:30 am ET Wednesday. Ahead of the data, the greenback traded mixed against its major counterparts. While the greenback dropped against the yen, it was steady against the rest of major counterparts.
The greenback was worth 108.18 against the yen, 0.9954 against the franc, 1.2457 against the pound and 1.1053 against the euro as of 8:25 am ET.
