Statistics Canada will release Canada consumer price inflation for August at 8:30 am ET Wednesday. Ahead of the data, the loonie traded mixed against its major counterparts. While the loonie rose against the greenback, it was steady against the rest of major counterparts.
The loonie was worth 1.3254 against the greenback, 81.63 against the yen, 0.9069 against the aussie and 1.4648 against the euro as of 8:25 am ET.
