Following the release of UK public sector finance data at 4.30 am ET Tuesday, the pound changed little against its major counterparts.
The pound was trading at 140.36 against the yen, 1.2936 against the greenback, 0.8607 against the euro and 1.2787 against the franc around 4:35 am ET.
