Malaysia's producer prices declined further in September, figures from the Department of Statistics showed on Thursday.
The producer price index declined 2.4 percent year-on-year in September, following a 1.9 percent fall in August.
Among sectors, prices of mining plunged 14.4 percent in September and that of water supply fell 2.8 percent. Prices of agriculture, forestry and fishing, and manufacturing decreased by 1.1 percent and 1.0 percent, respectively.
Meanwhile, electricity and gas supply prices increased by 1.3 percent.
On a month-on-month basis, producer prices rose 0.7 percent in September, following a 0.2 percent increase in the preceding month.
