Hungary exports rose at the fastest rate in two years in September, data from the Hungarian Central Statistical Office showed on Monday.
Exports rose 10.9 percent year-on-year in September, following a 2.7 percent increase in August.
The latest increase was the highest since October 2017, when exports rose 11.7 percent.
Imports grew 6.5 percent annually in September, following a 1.2 percent in the preceding month.
The trade surplus increased to EUR 566 million in September from EUR 181 million in the same month last year.
For the January to September period, exports and imports rose by 4.5 percent and 5.6 percent, respectively. The trade surplus decreased to EUR 3.91 billion.
