At 4.30 am ET Wednesday, the Office for National Statistics is scheduled to release UK consumer and producer prices for October. Inflation is forecast to ease slightly to 1.6 percent from 1.7 percent in September.
The pound dropped against its major counterparts ahead of these data.
The pound was worth 139.97 against the yen, 1.2837 against the greenback, 1.2708 against the franc and 0.8580 against the euro at 4:25 am ET.
